We believe

We Believe: As a community rooted in the following core beliefs, understanding them through scripture, reason, tradition, and experience:

The Triune God: We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal. God is the creator, sustainer, and redeemer of all things.

The Authority of Scripture: We believe the Holy Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is divinely inspired, authoritative, and our ultimate guide for faith, doctrine, and holy living.

The Divinity and Humanity of Jesus Christ: We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a perfect and sufficient sacrifice for the sins of the whole world, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to heaven, and will return in glory.

The Holy Spirit: We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who convicts us of sin, enables our new birth, empowers us for Christian life and service, and bestows spiritual gifts upon believers for the building up of the church.

Humanity and Sin: We believe that all people are created in the image of God but have fallen into sin through disobedience. Consequently, we are all in need of God's grace for redemption and restoration.

Salvation by Grace Through Faith: We believe that salvation from sin and its consequences is entirely by God's grace, offered freely to all who repent and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Justification, the pardon of sins and the restoration to God's favor, is received by faith alone.

Entire Sanctification: We believe that God calls all believers to entire sanctification, a work of the Holy Spirit that cleanses the heart from all sin and fills us with perfect love for God and neighbor. This is a process that begins at regeneration and continues throughout the believer's life, attainable by faith.

Good Works: We believe that good works are the fruit of genuine faith and a necessary consequence of a transformed life. While they do not earn salvation, they are pleasing to God and demonstrate the reality of our faith.

The Sacraments: We believe in the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion, ordained by Christ as visible signs and means of grace. Baptism signifies our entrance into the Christian community and our identification with Christ's death and resurrection. Holy Communion, or the Lord's Supper, is a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice and a means of grace through which believers participate in the body and blood of Christ by faith.

Christian Perfection and Social Holiness: Following the teachings of John Wesley, we believe that Christian faith is not solely individual but also has profound social implications. We are called to love our neighbors as ourselves, to seek justice, to show mercy, and to work for the transformation of society, reflecting the holiness of God in all aspects of life.
